Results to Round 5 (or 6 for the seniors) now up.

http://www.netspeed.com.au/ianandjan...DoeberlCup.htm

As at the time I left (7pm AEST) de Noskowski had won in the Major, and the top Premier boards had all finished with Mikhalevski the only full point of those 4/5 and above (I think).

There are some games on Ozbase now.

supports my earlier contention on the ballarat thread that solo is a GM in playing standard

Good going for Igor G too, with draws against 2 GMs and Gary Lane.

Round 6 results are up. The cross tables include the provisional Round 7 pairings for those wanting to work out the permutations.

Final results now up (in SP dump format, will be tidied up in the next day or so when I get some energy).

Ian Rogers won the Premier from IMs Solomon, Smerdon and Lane.

Adrian de Noskowski won the Major, Jonathan Shen the Minor and Bob Gibbons the Seniors.

Well done to Ian Rogers on the win. I am a bit surprised, but pleased to see the top 4 positions filled by Aussies. Great result by Junta Ikeda. Great to Kanikevich playing again and a quite reasonable result for a player who hasn't played for as long as he has.

Thanx Ian.

Black seems to be winning in the final position of Solomon v Timosjenko; and in Solomon v Shipov, it doesn't make much sense unless Black's 6th was h6 not b6.

Thank Paul, not me. I'll check that he's seen your comments.

Tremendous result for all those Aussies at the top. Would be great to see Solo reproduce that form for a GM norm at the SIO.

Solo performance rating: 2690.

Smerdon: 2595, worth another 10 rating points or so - probably only 15 points or so away from the magic 2500 now.

Ikeda: 2519!

And not least, of course Rogers 2716.
